There are so many things that I always wanted to write about, but never had the time nor the complete knowledge that I wanted for myself to write about all those things. Now I believe that even if I do not have all the knowledge that is needed, at least I have what it takes so as to write a little something about my personal quest especially in the Vedic Philosophy, which to be honest is one of my favorite ones.
First of all, so as to be able to say some things, we have to get to know with the Vedas of the Vedic Philosophy. Veda means knowledge, and this knowledge can drives us through the philosophy of the Vedas to the complete journey of our souls.
The Vedas are texts, if we can name them that way, which were originated from a non human agency. This is a belief of all the Hindi people. They believe that all these texts have been directly revealed to the humans. This is called also “sruti”, which in a more simple form we could say that it means “something that is heard”.
But what exactly are the Vedas? Is it non human? Is it another religious text? Is it something more magical if we could use this term? Or maybe all the above combined together? I cannot give the answer for sure, as it will be a great mistake from my side, but I will just try to give a quite non-formal definition about all the above said.
The Vedas are texts, as I have already told you. They are texts of knowledge and wisdom. They have a great glossary to see and analyze if you are in the mood and also many “mantras” that if you like to follow they will change your philosophical way of living. I could write down a whole book about the Vedic Philosophy but I will not. I will just try to make you all out there search by your own and see the magic beyond those texts.
I shall close this little article with just one of the Vedic “mantras”:
“Human beings can expect to live for hundreds of years if he acts in a way of the ultimate knowledge of all the facts. All of the human acts shall not bind him with the Kharma laws. In reality there is no other choice.”
Be yourselves and just put some Vedic philosophy in your lives. one of the books that I recommend you to start with is the sri isopanisad book which is one of my favorite ones. Take care.
