If humanity is survive the challenges of a changing climate, solar power and clean water are something we need to figure out.
That’s why it’s incredibly wonderful to hear that a project called The Pipe has figured out how to desalinate 1.5 billion gallons of drinking water a year.
What’s more, this is all powered by our big, beautiful sun!
Germany Reveals World’s First Hydrogen-Powered Passenger Train With Zero Emission.
How does it work?
Located in Santa Monica in California, solar panels place on the roof of the massive object provide power to pump seawater through a filtration process. Through this complicated filter, it turns salt water into clean drinking water.
This is an incredibly smart system and actually looks quite beautiful as it floats on the waters of the wonderful Santa Monica scenery.
Innovations like this are crucial around the world if we are to achieve the Paris Climate Accord goal only a 1.5-2 C increase in temperature.
What’s even more surprising is that this news hasn’t received global attention. Projects like this should be celebrated because of the potential it provides for our world and environment.
Pass it on so more people can learn about this incredible innovation.
