Be it an adult or a child everybody has their own life and we all need to cope up with our society at different stages of our life. Children are jovial and playful by nature. They don’t understand all the laws and etiquettes of our society.
Society kills creativity
In our society adult tend to burden the child with their own ambitions and goals. What the inner soul of the child wants to do is not important for them.
So, the child listens to their parents and start taking up those subjects in their school which is more sensible and have better prospect. He or she forgets their own dream and started living up to their parent’s dream.
For every parent, the daily mantra of life is very simple and that is to rise, commute, work, eat, sleep and repeat.
How can we come out from this situation? With proper answers Madrid based animators Daniel Martinez Lara and Rafa Cano Mendez made one short animated, ALIKE.
It is the story of a father and his son and the name of the characters are Copi and Paste. In the film, we see how Copi teaches his son to have proper education and he is burdening him with his own dreams leaving behind what his son wants to do.
On the other hand, the color of their life changes and they become grey like other people in the town. By watching the film one may criticize Copi for his behavior but we all are the same. We have seen our parents doing so and we will also do the same with our children to become a successful person in the society.
The film was critically acclaimed and has received 69 awards from various organizations around the world.
