A father and his son peaceful day routine is interrupted by an encounter with a strange boy of a different colour.
Strange Fruit , an allegory of racism as an acquired cultural epidemic, discusses whether this racism stems from our personal conscience or rather the education we receive from our families and environment.
Can we really insist on having a personal belief system, when what we must believe is dictated to us? Will we ever realise what racism do in our society ?
The film shows how easily we acquire fear and hatred of foreigners, as well as how easily we might become the “strangers” and “others” ourselves.
