There is a certain threat to humanity where antibiotics are absent. With no antibiotics, bacteria spreads throughout entire areas. And this is a known fact, without proper medications, bacteria can take over everything and grow. But I bet you didn’t know that bacteria can evolve.
Bacteria a dangerous threat
Bacteria can evolve to be resilient to antibiotics. This is a frightening fact. Science showed us how this happens in the laboratory.
Bacteria is grown within a petri dish, where there are no antibiotics on the edge but a good amount near the center. Each section, the antibiotics increase from 10-100 and so on.
In the area with no antibiotics, the bacteria grow rapidly. As the bacteria moves toward the antibiotics, mutant bacteria begin to evolve, and other mutant bacteria’s battle each other. Even though it takes 11 days for the bacteria to spread, it is successful.
Resistance to antibiotics
In the antibiotic area with the highest concentration, an accumulation of successful mutations dominates. This tells us that bacteria can build a resistance to even the strongest concentration of antibiotics in a short time.
