One of the best things that can ever happen is being told you look 10 or 20 years younger than you really are. I know this because I’ve been carded for alcohol purchases and mistaken as a teenager when I returned to college about a decade ago-I was 30 then, so go figure. I love when this happens, and this is why I’m going to share something with you. It’s about a few super foods that indeed make you look 20 years younger!
So, I’m going to just cut to the chase and get this ball rolling. You are going want to finish this article and run out to the market, trust me. The sooner the better, after all you’re not getting any younger just sitting there.
Brazil Nuts
These nuts are filled with a mineral called Silenium, which protects the skin from ultraviolet rays. As you know, these ultraviolet rays are a huge cause of dryness and wrinkles. There is also a plethora of other vitamins and minerals which maintain elastin and collagen.
Purple Fruits
Plums and all other purple fruits are packed with anthocyanin which strengthens the walls of capillaries. This ensures the skin gets enough blood flow to keep it healthy.
Carrots
As you probably already know, carrots are full of beta-carotene which is a natural substance that wards off ultraviolet light. Beta-carotene collects in the fatty cells and this is where it goes to work.
Strawberries
Here’s one I bet you didn’t’ know about: strawberries whiten your teeth! That’s right, the acids in these delicious fruits remove layers of discolorization. They are also full of bioflavonoids and vitamin C which also strengthen the capillaries located in the skin.
Tea
Primarily Green and White Tea are the best choices for anti-aging properties. Filled with antioxidants, both green and white tea ward off free radicals that would otherwise cause us to age prematurely.
Water
What do they always say? You must drink 8-10 glasses a day! An ample supply of water keeps your skin looking brighter and youthful. It hydrates and also aids in healthy digestion. On the other hand, caffeine and alcohol are diuretics which do the opposite and damage the body.
Oils
Oils are important for good fat consumption. Oily fish are good alternatives and are filled with Omega 3s. Oils and oily fish keep the skin from drying out and also provides protein which aids in skin repairs.
So let’s get going!
So, what are you waiting for? Get down to the market and get these foods immediately and start incorporating them into your diet. These are not the only foods that combat aging either. You can also grab some soy, lean steaks and seafood for that added effort!
Enjoy looking younger and feeling younger as well!
