At the young age of 4, Indi Warner has shown a tremendous courage to win the battle of her life.
Indi had a liver transplant at just 7 months old because of a life threatening condition called Atresia and is now taking it all in her stride.
Atresia is a condition where the bile ducts inside or outside the liver have unusual openings. The disease can be highly serious.
The mother, Kylie, has said that Indi loves to have fun just like any other child and that the whole family is inspired by her resilience. She actually didn’t realize how serious Indi’s condition was until she was 10, but that’s because she’s had astounding courage since she was born and has taken the sickness in her stride.
Indi’s Dad, Mat, is a professional photographer and has taken some inspiring photos of Indi that show her strength and tenacity.
These photos were taken for DonateLife Thankyou Day – a time for Australians to appreciate living and deceased organ and tissue donations that have the ability to change and save lives.
