Of all drugs, LSD could possibly be the most powerful of all. Albert Hoffman created this drug in 1938, and it’s been studied ever since.
But research slowed down in the 1960s due to the fact that the drug was banned. Only recently has interested continued because of the need depression cures, and even cures for anxiety. LSD could be a solution, a viable antidepressant and drug to combat other addictions.
Past “trips” while on LSD still have people curious and wondering. Why is this drug so powerful, and why does it create a sense of oneness with the universe?
Scientists utilized brain scans to measure blood flow. Using magnetoencephalography, resting state MRI and arterial spin labeling, researchers were able to understand brain waves and functional connections as well.
