Life can be frustrating sometimes. It’s not perfect however much we try to make it so. To live a more fulfilling life we must learn some brutal truths about life.
These brutal truths about life are harsh, but the quicker you accept these truths, the better you can go through life:
1. You will lose everything
Life is a journey and like all journeys, we have to leave behind certain things. Sometimes, we don’t even have a choice. You are probably going to lose everything you hold dear. Cherish the present – spend time with people. They are not going to be there for long.
2. Expect bad things to happen to you even if you are good
Life isn’t school – it doesn’t work on merit. However unfortunate it might be, being good is actually going to hurt you. Accept it and try to be smart, rather than being too good. It’ll help a lot.
3. Life isn’t fair
If you have heard this a lot of times, you can safely say that it’s true. People won’t always achieve what they want. Neither will they get what they truly deserve. So, enjoy whatever life throws at you. You are learning something always.
4. Not everyone will be nice
Rude people were always there. Sometimes, even kindness is met by ungrateful stares. You can’t change the way things work. Remain the way you are –
5. Perfection is a lie
While Hollywood may sell the story of perfection, it is a lie. We are flawed human beings. The least we can do is try to become better than before. Try to transform for the better, not for perfection.
6. Change is inevitable
It really tugs your heart when you feel like a moment will be lost. Change is an inevitable truth. You are changing
7. Wasted time – lost time
Time is the most valuable currency we have. Every second
8. Planning won’t always turn out well
We spend a lot of time planning. But don’t put too much trust in your plans. However solid the plan might be, there’s always some unplanned incident that might turn things around. Don’t let it get you down – pick yourself up and move ahead.
9. Money isn’t everything
Don’t get me wrong– money is important. But managing time gets an upper ground. Use your time wisely to improve yourself. Go for the things you have always desired and money will come as a by-product.
10. You can’t make everyone happy
It’d be a great thing if everyone were happy. But it’s a utopian dream – you can’t make everyone happy. There will always be someone criticizing you. Don’t worry aboutit– your true friends will back you no matter what!
11. Start being productive
Life has meaning if you have an aim. Give your life purpose and start working towards it. Invest everything to achieve the goal – be productive for yourself.
12. Don’t exist – live
Most of us exist rather than live. We have been thrown into the rat-race and we run as we are told. Stop – look around. Experience nature and peace. Meditate. Start to live life. Experience the beauty of it.
13. Help others to become truly happy
Look within and ask yourself – are you happy? When was the last time you felt happy? We don’t answer these questions anymore. Search within, and you’ll find that much of your happiness comes out of helping others. That’s how connected we all are. Life gets difficult. But that’s the point of all journeys. But we make friends along the way, we have a family – we create connections. With these truths let’s make this journey a lot better – for us and our fellow partners who have also embarked on the same journey.
