Maturity never comes easy. There are a lot of factors that help an individual grow and become a mature person and these factors may be controllable or uncontrollable. Sometimes it takes a person a world of pain to get there and sometimes they learn from other people’s pain and mistakes.
A man generally takes longer than a woman to mature but once he is there, there is no looking back. When a man finds maturity, he becomes a better person to be in a relationship with, to be friends with and so on.
Following is a list of things that a mature man will never do- in case you need to evaluate someone!
1. He does not run from situations
No matter what faces him, he will see through it. He will not try to escape the first chance he gets. He will approach the problem like a grown up and start working on a solution.
2. He does not freak out when criticized
An immature man will always be enraged at criticism and never handle it well, a mature man, however, will do his best to work on the things that he receives criticism for and even ask for constructive criticism.
3. He does not act like he does not have emotions
He understands that being a grown up does not mean that a person cannot have emotions, even if he is a man. A mature man handles things like a mature person but does not shy away from talking about his feelings, especially with his significant other.
4. He will never stop value you
The mature man knows the value of women in his life and makes sure they always feel appreciated- he will always make sure that you feel needed and wanted.
5. He will never disregard your feelings
What I mean by this is, he will care about what you think about things and what you take about them are. When you show your feelings, he will validate them and try his best to make sure that you feel safe and secure.
6. He will never disrespect his mother
Look, it is simple. His mother is one of the foremost woman figures in his life and if he is a mature guy, he will love and respect his mother to a great degree. This is how you know if he truly values and appreciates women as a gender.
7. He is not winging it
Even though life calls for some amount of spontaneity sometimes, winging it is not the solution to the bigger issues in life and he knows that. He knows what he is doing right now and he knows what he will be doing a few years later.
8. He does not shy away from feedback
A mature man wants to work on his drawbacks and be a better person. His shortcomings are not an embarrassment to him, but they are things that he knows he has to work on. He actively seeks out feedback to make sure he can learn from his mistakes.
That seems quite mature.
