It’s Valentine’s Day in three days. The cheese-fest is upon us and very soon our newsfeeds and favorite places to hang out will be filled with barf-worthy couples doing redundant cheesy things in the name of a priest who got soldiers married in Ancient Rome.
Just because he gets down on his knees on February the 14th, and buys you things or even says that he loves you doesn’t mean he actually does. People lie all the time. So, how to know?
Well, these 8 tell-tale signs might just be your cue.
1. He goes out of his way for you
Men are the most expediency-loving creatures on the planet. They will always try to take the comfortable, easy way out of a situation. If you see him [however] doing things that are organically inconvenient, uncomfortable and not to his liking normally, for you, to help you, know that it’s a sign.
2. He hears you out every time
Men have waxed ears when it comes to listening to others. It’s true, guys; take a moment and think about the times you have zoned out when your girlfriend was telling you how her day went. If [however] he listens to you, and actually says something relevant in response and does not change the topic for 15 minutes or more, ladies, he is the one.
3. He cries in front of you
This means he is comfortable enough around you to forget the years of societal training he underwent “to be a man”.
4. He shows you off
Shows he takes pride in being with you and is extremely proud of your role in his life and you in general.
5. He doesn’t care about the things that others find “eccentric” about you
In fact, he likes those things a lot. Remember, it is the personal idiosyncrasies of a person that you fall for. He notices the things most people don’t even notice and those are the things that make his heart skips a beat. Besides, he is not judgemental and holier-than-thou when it comes to you. This is a big sign because men are normally the worst silent judges of them all.
6. His behavior in front of your family is exceptional
He treats your friends and family with utmost respect and care. He takes time out for them from his own schedule. Besides if you find him doing favors for your friends, it’s a huge sign.
7. He is always honest with you
Men, it’s not your fault, but you have trained to lie to get your way by society. If you find yourselves outgrowing that for someone, just say the three magic words to them next time you meet them.
8. He is the bedrock you can fall back upon
He is there for you no matter what happens and he is the Jack who’s got your back if I have to be lame about it.
