Yaoyao Ma Van As a 34 years old painter and Illustrator from Los Angeles, managed to capture all the small, personal moments of happiness experienced by those who live alone in her last illustrations.
Ma Van As, who is now married, has worked as a cartoonist in well-known cartoon series such as Rick and Morty and BoJack Horseman.
The projects focus on how her life was before being married when she was living alone with her dog, Parker, who stars in many of the sketches in the series.
“Aloneness does not mean loneliness! Sometimes you can be surrounded by hundreds of people and yet you feel completely isolated, ” Yaoyao says. “It’s healthy to be among others, but it is also healthy to feel comfortable with the time you spend alone”.
Living alone can be an exciting experience if you see the benefits and learn to enjoy every moment.
