While we all identify as an introvert or extrovert, the truth is that most of us are somewhere in between.
You see, at times I love socializing but there are other times when I just want to be alone so I can figure everything out.
If you identify with that statement, then you’re probably an extroverted introvert. Here are 10 more examples that you might relate to:
1. You like talking to strangers, but too much small-talk can be boring.
You can hold a conversation whenever you need to, but it’s the small-talk that annoys you. What you really want are deep conversations that make you ponder life and all its miracles.
2. If you feel uncomfortable in a group, you go quiet.
You enjoy being surrounded by people you get along with, but sometimes if you’re not feeling the vibe, it increases your social anxiety forcing you to be quiet.
3. Some days you’re ultra social and other days you just want to stay home.
There are occasions when you’re the one making the plans and organizing everything and other days when all you want to do is just be alone so you can chill out and enjoy your own company.
4. You prefer deep conversations.
Small-talk is boring for you, but deep conversations make you feel alive. You want to ponder, learn and understand new things.
5. You’re always thinking.
You analyze all the time, with or without people. You’re always thinking about the past, the future and everything in between. While it can be a burden at times, you’re also one of the smartest in the room.
6. Sometimes your best friend can’t even get you out.
There are times when all you want to do is curl up on the couch with your favorite book and a coffee.
7. You like being alone but don’t like being lonely.
Sometimes you want human connection and love, but you can’t always find it.
8. You’re a listener.
You know how great it feels to be listened to so you do the same for others. You enjoy it too because you’re fascinated by other people.
9. You’re social, but only with the right people.
You enjoy hanging out around certain types of people. People who are too negative and narcissistic aren’t for you.
10. You can make friends easily, but don’t always keep them.
When you’re in a social mood, you make friends like its no tomorrow. But you don’t always keep in contact because you’re always in the same mood.
